It’s a real joy to create lifelike portraits that are a true representation of a dearly loved pet.  I’ve always loved to draw from a young age and I love animals.  I work in my studio at Forest Lake, Brisbane and I am more than happy for you to visit, my dog Shani will give you a warm welcome.  
 
Soft pastels are my preferred medium to use to create pet portraits as they are ideal for capturing the softness of fur. Along with soft pastels I use pastel pencils for details, such as eyes, working on a high quality Pastelmat surface.  I'm currently working on creating pet portraits using charcoal, in a different style but still realistic, it's work in progress at the moment, I plan to offer these works in early 2025.
 
My background includes tertiary study at Queensland College of Art, designing adverts at Myer (Qld)
and employment in Brisbane and Canberra arts industries.   Art and design have always played
a big part in my life.
